BIOGRAPHY: KEITH BROOKS, Music Maestro

Keith offers private trombone instruction under the business name Music Maestro. He is also a Trombone Instructor at Norwalk Music, Norwalk CT.

His interest as a trombone teacher is in helping beginners and intermediate players, of any age, to improve their playing of the B flat tenor, or bass, slide trombone, including those with an F attachment.

He plays with the Westport Community Concert Band as Bass Trombonist where he has been under the direction of Sal LaRusso, Conductor, for the past ten years, and has studied with the world renowned Wilton trombonist, Jens Wendelboe, First Chair of Blood Sweat and Tears.

He is the organizer of Weston’s former The Codfish Brass, an all-trombone ensemble which performed for retirement homes, company celebrations and merchants.

During the summer season, Keith fills in with The Old Greenwich Community Band and The Darien Summer Band.
